FAQ
Booking, pricing, packing, insurance and moving day — everything customers ask us most. Still unsure? Call (669) 999-5505.
One to two weeks is comfortable for most local moves. For end-of-month weekends and the summer season, book 3–4 weeks out. Last-minute move? Call us anyway — we keep a crew on standby and can often help same-week.
Yes. We work seven days a week, 8am–8pm. Weekend and end-of-month slots fill first, so book those early.
Life happens. Reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your move. Within 48 hours, a small deposit fee applies to cover the reserved crew and truck.
Call us or fill out the quote form. We'll ask about the size of your home, the two addresses, access (stairs, elevators, parking), and any specialty items — then give you a clear hourly estimate or a flat rate for long distance.
No. The hourly rate includes the crew, truck, equipment, furniture wrapping, and basic protection. No fuel surcharges, no stair fees, no charges for tape or blankets. The only extras are packing materials you keep (boxes) and services you add.
A California rule (CPUC MAX 4 tariff) that protects you: instead of billing the trip from our depot to your home and back, movers double the drive time between your two addresses only. A 15-minute drive is billed as 30 minutes — and the depot legs cost you nothing.
Yes, local moves have a 3-hour minimum. After that, time is billed in 15-minute increments — you never pay for a full hour you didn't use.
Cash, all major credit and debit cards, and Zelle. Payment is due at the end of the move once you've walked through and everything is in place. Tips are never required but always appreciated.
Yes — every sofa, dresser, and table is wrapped in moving blankets and shrink wrap as part of the standard hourly rate. This is not an upsell; it's how we protect your things and your walls.
Absolutely. Full packing is our favorite service to deliver: the crew arrives with boxes, paper, and bubble wrap and packs your entire home — kitchen, closets, art. It's billed at the same hourly rate plus the cost of materials.
Pianos and safes — yes, with special equipment and an adjusted crew; mention them when booking. Aquariums travel empty (we'll move the tank, you handle the fish). Items we can't take: propane tanks, paints and chemicals, perishables, plants over long distances.
Keep a personal essentials bag: documents, medication, chargers, jewelry, and a change of clothes. Everything else — leave to us or follow our Moving Tips page for a room-by-room packing plan.
Fully. We hold an active California CPUC household mover permit (CAL-T), carry cargo and auto liability coverage, and our crews are covered by workers' compensation — so you're never liable if a mover is injured on your property. Details are on our License page.
Basic cargo protection (60¢ per pound per article) is included by law at no cost. For higher coverage, ask about full-value protection when booking. If anything is damaged, report it to your foreman on the spot and we'll open a claim the same day — most claims are resolved within a week.
Employees. Every mover is hired, background-checked, and trained by us. No rented labor, no strangers from an app showing up at your door.
